Church Nursery
Just the Right Care for Our Littlest Ones

With an increasing number of children on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening, the FUMC Nursery program is an important part of our worship program. The nursery is available to children ages birth through three years old. Ages four and five are encouraged to participate in our children’s church programs.

The primary goal of the church nursery is to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere for the children of the church. This goal is achieved through a combination of nursery staff and volunteer support. The staff provides the children with consistent faces the children recognize and feel comfortable staying with. The volunteers provide extra eyes, arm, and hands to keep our nursery running smoothly.

Children’s Ministries
Just the Right Faith Development for All Children

Children are very important to us at First United Methodist Church. This is evidenced by our growing preschool and our growing children’s ministry. Our children are offered several Christian education opportunities such as Sunday school and an incredible Vacation Bible School. This past summer we had a weekly Tuesday morning breakfast with Christian Etiquette Training and swim parties. We have Children’s choirs for all ages and Wednesday evening programs that focus on Memory, Missions, Music, and Ministry.

Our Children’s program, like the youth program, has an outing each month. Some of the outings have included an overnight trip to the zoo, movie night in the Fellowship hall complete with popcorn and pillow fights, and community service projects. Each trip includes a Bible study that is appropriate to the trip.
