The First United Methodist Church Preschool has been a ministry of the Church since 1996. We currently have 90 children enrolled from 6 month old babies to 4 and 5 year old Pre-kindergarteners. We have a staff of 17 which includes a music teacher and student apprentice from MCHS. The goal of the FUMC Preschool is to provide each child with a positive introduction to the learning process. We believe in teaching socialization skills and age-appropriate academics in a caring and nurturing Christian environment.

The FUMC Preschool was named a Preschool of Excellence in 2002 by the North Georgia United Methodist Preschool Association, and is committed to providing the best possible preschool experience for the children and their families. In addition to the theme-based classroom learning activities, the preschool also offers music, chapel, Spanish and art programs. The staff is involved in continuing education classes and workshops throughout the year to ensure that their methods of teaching are the most effective for preschoolers. The preschool operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 – 12:00, and follows the same calendar as the Morgan County Schools. For more information, call the preschool at 343-9988.
